Turkey's PascoGas books first newbuilding with gas carrier order at Hyundai Mipo

Istanbul-based PascoGas has booked what is believed to be its first newbuilding as it joined the growing list of companies ordering LPG-fuelled midsize gas carriers.

The Turkish shipowner has booked one 40,000-cbm LPG carrier at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) for delivery in 2023. A PascoGas executive confirmed the order, adding that the deal is in line with the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) policy, which calls for the use of cleaner fuels as a means to lower the industry’s carbon footprint.
